Warranty Statement and Procedure

Whilst every effort is taken to supply quality products using quality materials, should an issue occur a 1 or 2 year Warranty (depends on different countries and territories) is applicable for all CEL Power tools, this commences from the date on which the tool/machine is sold to the end user customer.

The warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship only. When making a claim under the warranty, the original proof of purchase bearing the date of purchase must be submitted. The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by authorized service agent.
Exclusions to warranty service include but are not exclusive to the following
•    Incorrect use, overloading of the machine or fitting non-approved accessories
•    Use of force, damage caused by external influences or foreign bodies such as sand or stones
•    Damage caused by non-observance of the instructions for use such as connection to an unsuitable mains supply or voltage or non-compliance with the installation instructions
•    Normal wear and tear, tools are not suitable for industrial applications
•    Consumable items such as driver bits, sanding and cutting accessories and batteries (see below).

The warranty will not cover tools/machines, which have been partially or completely dismantled.
Batteries are considered as consumable items under the standard CEL warranty due to the fact they can be misused or worn out through heavy use. CEL will attempt to recover failed batteries within the warranty period of the tool they were purchased with, without additional charge to the customer. If the fault is not economically repairable or found to be due to a manufacturing fault to the battery housing or controls of the battery, these repairs and parts will be covered within the warranty period as set by local service agent at different countries / territories. The cells or electronics within the batteries may be replaced within the first half of the warranty period up to a maximum of 1 year, this will depend on the inspection and testing of the failed product and the judgement of service staff, limited reductions in performance and battery life are not grounds for replacement of battery cells.
The accepting of a claim under the warranty will not grant a further extension of the warranty period nor start a new warranty period.
